Jordyn was here the other day and we joined the "Mod-Podge Easter eggs with book pages" bandwagon. I've got to tell you, I was so happy she wanted to do this because I don't think I would have had the patience!
We found the eggs packed away and she went to work!
Bless her heart, she was even sick, but she wanted to craft.
I've been so excited lately about getting new followers and then being asked to do a guest post, I wanted to give a little something back. I'm giving away this bottle cap necklace and bracelet I made.
A little thank you to everyone for helping to make me one happy girl!
All you have to do to have a chance to win it is be a follower of A Creative Princess.
Just leave a comment and let me know if you are already a follower or a new follower. Be sure to leave your e-mail address if it's not on your profile. Giveaway will end next Tuesday (the 29th) and winner will be announced on Wednesday (30th).
Before I show you all the fabulous blogs and inspiration I have found this week, I need your opinion. What do you think of my new header? I am so not worthy to be involved in this blog world. There is so much talent out there, sometimes I ask myself, "What the heck am I doing here?". I'm just plugging along and loving every minute of it! Thank you so much to all my followers! Believe me, Greg, Brandon, Josh, Jennifer, and Jalynn thought they would be the only 5 I had and were just humoring me. Actually, that's not true. Jalynn (my 12 year old granddaughter) will look at my blog daily and was my first true follower! The other people in my family were just "trophy followers". Love and adore you, Jalynn! Oh yeah, love the rest of you, too!
but I'm going to show you anyway. My main reason is to shame myself into cleaning up my craft room this weekend. This is not for the weak of heart, so be prepared!
Is it any wonder why I can't find anything? Wow!
I did do a little tiny bit today. I've got a lot of those pop crates and hung one by my table. Believe me, it wasn't a drop in the bucket! Now you all know what I'll be doing for the next couple of days!
When I made my Family Rules window with those bird fabric jellies, I had intended to make two of them. But then Greg came home with this window for me.
The minute I saw it, I knew exactly what I wanted to do with it!
I started with the leftover fabric strips that I had already sewn together.
I put the fabric on one side and began cutting up an old children's songbook for the other side.
I really wish the words to the songs had shown up better in the pictures, but I couldn't get a clear shot of them. I must have taken (what seemed like) a million pictures and believe it or not, those were the best two. Anyway, I chose songs like; Jesus Loves Me, Jesus Loves the Little Children, Sing, Little Children, Sing, etc. Then I got out my trusty Cricut and finished it off.
I know, my s is crooked in birds. I've got to go fix that! Why do I not notice these things until I'm posting the picture?
I have totally neglected my Etsy shop. I have been sewing a lot of new things to add to it, I just haven't found the time to sit down and list them yet. I'm so bass ackwards that I even made thank you cards before I even have more listed. Before Christmas, I was sending little ornaments with every purchase and knew I had to change that now.
I used these clear stones.
My paper punch was the perfect size to cut the paper.
I Mod-Podged them face up to the back and added a magnet.
Printed and cut out the thank you.
I used a magnet strip across the back to hold the magnets on the front of the card.
I would love it if you see something I’ve done and want to make one for yourself or give as a gift, but not to sell. Please link back and give credit where credit is due. I would like to see what you’ve done to make it your own (improved the idea). Thanks for visiting!
