Happy Halloween!

Hope you have a Spook-tacular night!

I got the pattern for the witch hat applique here. I was going to do a circle skirt for the girls, but didn't have enough material, so I just winged their skirts.

Of course, we can't go anywhere without a "hair pretty"! In the next week or two, I'll show you how I made the bow and the skirt.

I was trying to get them to pose and told them to say "Hobby Lobby". Obviously, someone loves Hobby Lobby and someone doesn't like it so much! Look at Triniti's "You've got to be kidding me, Grandma!" look.

Super Saturday!

Pine Cones and Acorn wreath

I did a guest post a couple of weeks ago and made this Pine Cone and Acorn wreath/hoop.

This time of year you can find just about everything you need for this project in yards everywhere!

I took part of an old potato sack and stretched it on an embroidery hoop.

I used the pine cones for the petals and the acorn tops for the center and just glued them on the potato sack.

That's it, easy peasy!

Dollar Store Witch

That whole little witch was made with everything I found at the Dollar Store.

The base is a cauldron candy bucket that I filled with rocks for stability.

I spray painted two orange pumpkins black and then just hot glued the stack together.

For the hair, I cut strands off of the broom and glued it in the hat (which is really a funnel).

I glued the bird to the top of her hat, but she still looked lonely.

I used the cat face from this package and

glued it to one pumpkin for the head and then hot glued the two pumpkins together.

There, she looks so much happier with her little friend!

Glow in the Dark Ghost Shutter

I had one last black shutter staring me in the face,

so I made a ghost!

I taped the ghost shape off and spray painted it white, then I added a coat of glow in the dark spray paint.

I did the same thing with the letters.

I used 3 more O's for the eyes and mouth and added her Bling with fabric.

You're going to have to trust me that she glows in the dark. She really does and looks so cute! I tried everything but standing on my head to get a picture of her glowing, couldn't do it! I wonder how you do take a picture like that?

Greg and I had our 35 year high school reunion last weekend. WAIT! Don't leave me thinking we were all in our rocking chairs!

Yeah, I don't know what was so funny, but it must have been! When you try to pose for a picture with your best friend from high school, you suddenly become teenagers again! Julie is the one standing acting cool and I'm the one falling over laughing! Greg is the one taking the picture, so it must be his fault! He doesn't remember either what was so funny.

How do you like the tie-dyed peace sign! Pretty cool, huh?

Boo Scrabble Tile Necklace

I was playing with Scrabble Tiles the other day (for another project) and we all know how my mind wanders... 

Look how the sun was shining so pretty last week! Yeah, now it's freezing!

We all know the drill, glue a bail on the back with E-6000 glue.

Then end up with this mess!! I wanted to string the orange ribbon through the chain, but that was a disaster. Maybe it would have been easier if the remote control, my phone, and the little zipper coin purse I'm working on would get out of the way!

Since the chain didn't work, I just went with ribbon and beads.

I love those clasps, they hold the ribbon so tight.

Once I figured out to use ribbons, this was so simple! I wanted to make more but I'm out of B's.

Go figure!
