You all don't know how much I need this party. I haven't written a post about it yet, because I just can't, but I wanted to let you all know what we're going through. Our Desi, (one of our dogs that are 12 years old, but we still call them "our puppies") died Sunday. Someday I'll tell you all about it, but for now, just know that we are all grieving. It's funny, we let these little 4 legged "God's blessings" into our lives and they become part of the family. The one that Greg and I are worried about now is Gage (her brother) and doing everything we can to get him to act like his old self again! Please don't let anyone ever tell you that dogs don't know and grieve!

Oh goodness, I'm so sorry for you and yours for the passing of your baby doggie! I know it's horroble what you must be feeling, we lost our beloved pug Ben 1year, 9 mths ago and we still miss him so! They get to your hert almost like babies. I'm sorry for the other doggie too, dogs are very intelligent and so humanized cause they live with us, so they feel like we do too...(my MIL used to say this). Thank you for hosting anyway and for having me. My heart goes out to you.

I'm so sorry to hear about the loss of your 'fur-baby' it's always such a hard time..
Aw. I'm so sorry about your loss. I believe our pets are just an extension of our family, my Cocoa (she's part husky part german shepherd) is my sweetheart- she's 15 and I know she doesn't have much longer and it's going to be so sad when she moves on. Her brother, Dakota, died about 5 years ago and it took about a year for her to get back to her old self. So sorry!

Goodness. I am sorry to hear that. That is something that I fear every day, when it is time to say goodbye to my furry babies. They are a part of the family! I can't imagine how you are feeling. I will keep y'all in my thoughts and prayers!

Hi Terri. I'm so sorry about the loss of your sweet puppy, Desi. I sure do understand what a large part of our families they become. And they take up lots of space in our hearts too!

So sorry to hear about your beloved doggie. They really are members of the family and the grief of losing one is really no different. I too believe that pets mourn loss as well. I have had that experience many times in my life - so sad to see and you wish they could talk to help them understand. Many thoughts going out to you and your family.
I am so sorry for your loss...dogs and cats do grieve the loss of a family member as people do. Love him and he will be ok!
Oh I'm so sorry to hear about your dog :( Our dog (who we still call a puppy too), is such a huge part of our lives, I can't understand how heartbroken you must be.

Terri,sorry about it. I absolutely agree pets do grieve. Last Aug we lost a cat due to heart stroke, only 4.5 years old. The younger one 2-year old is very quiet and knows his brother has gone. Now very attached to us. scratches our room door when we're sleeping. Though of keep another one for his company. Hope you and Gage feel better. Know it takes time.
