I got the call yesterday that is every mother's nightmare. As many of you know, I go over to my daughter's house every morning at 6:00 when she leaves for work to get Triniti off to school and bring Tierni back home with me. Krissi walks out the door and everything goes perfect. Until yesterday.
She had only been gone about 30 minutes when I got the call on my cell phone. Krissi was involved in a horrible wreck and was being sent by ambulance to the hospital. She takes I-70 to work everyday and some idiot (believe me, that's the least I have called him) was driving 100 mph in rush hour traffic and rear-ended her while she was sitting still. There were 11 cars involved in all, but Krissi took the blunt of the %$^&&* stupidity. She was in the far right lane and ended up with her car going the other way on the median. The police have no idea why her car didn't roll. She was on two wheels for 150 feet.
I know why, God was with her the whole time. That's the only explanation. She should not have been able to climb out of the passenger side window over the engine that was sitting there and still be alive! Thank you, God, for saving my daughter!
She's alive and okay. Severe bruising and sore. The airbag came out and her face is swollen with two black eyes and can't move hardly at all, but no broken bones, that we know of yet. She's out of the hospital and goes back today for more x-rays. She's alive and that's all that matters!
The idiot that hit her is in jail and the police have been wonderful to her! There were so many loving and kind people that took care of her when it happened before the ambulance got there that it gives us all hope in mankind!
I guess what I'm trying to say in this post is don't ever take anything for granted and kiss and hug those closest to you anytime you walk away.
That's Krissi and Triniti on Halloween.
Please, if you have any room in your heart and prayers, she and her little girls could use them now.
I love you, Krissi!
