Hug those you love, right now!

I know I usually have a craft for you today, but I just can't post about it right now. I'll post it Sunday.

I got the call yesterday that is every mother's nightmare. As many of you know, I go over to my daughter's house every morning at 6:00 when she leaves for work to get Triniti off to school and bring Tierni back home with me. Krissi walks out the door and everything goes perfect. Until yesterday.

She had only been gone about 30 minutes when I got the call on my cell phone. Krissi was involved in a horrible wreck and was being sent by ambulance to the hospital. She takes I-70 to work everyday and some idiot (believe me, that's the least I have called him) was driving 100 mph in rush hour traffic and rear-ended her while she was sitting still. There were 11 cars involved in all, but Krissi took the blunt of the %$^&&* stupidity. She was in the far right lane and ended up with her car going the other way on the median. The police have no idea why her car didn't roll. She was on two wheels for 150 feet.

I know why, God was with her the whole time. That's the only explanation. She should not have been able to climb out of the passenger side window over the engine that was sitting there and still be alive! Thank you, God, for saving my daughter!

She's alive and okay. Severe bruising and sore. The airbag came out and her face is swollen with two black eyes and can't move hardly at all, but no broken bones, that we know of yet. She's out of the hospital and goes back today for more x-rays. She's alive and that's all that matters!

The idiot that hit her is in jail and the police have been wonderful to her! There were so many loving and kind people that took care of her when it happened before the ambulance got there that it gives us all hope in mankind!

I guess what I'm trying to say in this post is don't ever take anything for granted and kiss and hug those closest to you anytime you walk away.

That's Krissi and Triniti on Halloween.

Please, if you have any room in your heart and prayers, she and her little girls could use them now.

I love you, Krissi!

What a terrible thing to have happened, so pleased you daughter is ok. I hope they throw the book at the idiot, hit him a few times with it too, I have no concern what so ever with reckless drivers.

Sending positives thoughts and prayers for you all, can't forget you in all this, as a mother it must have been a terrible shock.

Big hugs x

Oh wow. I am so sorry for the hell you must have gone through yesterday but so thankful that your daughter is basically okay. Big hugs and a big glass of wine (or maybe a shot would be better) from me. You will be in my thoughts while you're getting over this.

I'm so happy to hear your daughter didn't suffer more serious injuries. Also happy to hear the crazy driver who hit her is actually in jail. Praying your daughter recovers quickly. Thanks for the reminder to appreciate our loved ones (that was actually the topic of my post today). It's so important.

So very glad that your daughter was able to walk away from the wreck. It's wonderful that you are close by to help them all out.

This must be particularly frightening for the kids seeing their mom all bruised and swollen! All are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh Terri, I just saw this post this morning. A chill ran down my spine and tears sprang to my eyes as I read of this horrible accident. I am so sorry. Our children are so precious, a gift from God, and there's nothing worse than something bad happening to one of them. PRAISE GOD that Krissi is 'okay,' except for the bruising and mega hurting. Thank you for sharing this with us. I will be praying.

I'm so sorry, Terri! I know exactly what you're talking about - my father went for work one morning many years ago and we never saw him alive again.
That's why my son and I repeat our love to each other every time we leave home.
The good news is that nothing worse happened to your daughter!
Praying for all of you,
Donata
