It's a Party! #78

This has to be short and sweet. Trick or Treaters are showing up at the door already (it's not even dark yet) and I've got bacon frying. I'm trying to make a loaded baked potato salad like we had at a restaurant the other day. I'll let you know if it turns out.

Anyway, here we go!

Link up anything you want to share with us this week. It can be your fabulous craft, yummy recipe, giveaway, shop, etc.

I'll feature the Top 5 most viewed links next Wednesday.

I would love for you to follow A Creative Princess while you're here!

If you would like to grab an It's a Party button (on the sidebar) and post it on your blog somewhere, that would be great! Let's get the word out and grow this party.
The more the merrier!

We all love comments, so please visit other links and have fun!

Duct Tape Treat Bag & Supergirl!

That's right, another two for the price of one post. I know I've told you before, but the kids love to craft when they're here.

So Jace and I dug out the Duct Tape and made a treat bag.

I know these pictures are hard to see, but I started by laying the orange tape face down and overlapping the next piece a little for the rows. Don't worry about all the uneven sides, we'll trim those later.

Then start layering the black over the orange. Oh, and if you drop a piece while you're doing it, you'll end up with a big fat mess and have to start all over again! Just sayin'.

Next you'll have to grab a cute little kiddo and have him start decorating away with permanent markers.

Now it was time to trim all those uneven edges.

I centered the black and folded it around the sides and bottom. I took 2 long pieces and folded them in half and taped to the inside of the bag for handles.

Notice we made it nice and big? High candy expectations!

I'm not for sure, but I think some little someone I know and love might be taking over my blog soon. Jordyn made her own Halloween costume this year!

The top was a t-shirt that Jennifer bought for her and Jordyn made the tutu.

She took a long ribbon and tied strips of tulle around it.

The ribbon ties in the back.

Awesome, Jordyn!

I can't end this post today without telling any of my friends that live on the East Coast, my thoughts and prayers are with you. I pray you're safe.

Happy Halloween Tree & Pumpkin Bottle

It's a "two-fer" post! I realized there are only a couple of days left until Halloween and I should maybe finish up all the half done projects I've had sitting around.

First up:

Happy Halloween Tree! I didn't take a before picture, but I bought the tree at the thrift store one day for $1.00. I'm thinking I can change it a little and still use it for Thanksgiving with different decorations.

I fell in love with that scrapbook paper when I saw it and knew I had to use it for something.

I took "whatever those tag things are called" and inked them up.

Cut up my paper and...

Put them on the tags with double sided tape and trimmed the tag.

The pumpkin ribbon was actually a shoelace I cut up and tied on.

Yeah, I'm going to have to find some Thanksgiving paper, I'm loving it sitting on the table!

Next up is the Pumpkin Bottle.

I painted that round bottle orange a couple of weeks ago because it was screaming pumpkin to me and wouldn't shut up.

The poor little thing just sat around being orange and I intended to do something fabulous with it, but I never got around to it.

So I just stuck a hat on him and added stickers.
Maybe next year...

Happy Monday!

Fab-BOO-lous T-Shirts

These shirts were so fun to make!

The Fab- and -lous are Iron On T-Shirt vinyl and the boo is appliqued fabric.

I cut the letters out of thick cardstock and used that as my pattern to cut the fabric and then appliqued it on the shirt.

Then I used the Iron On T-Shirt Vinyl to cut out the rest and ironed it on. I ordered it from Expressions Vinyl and it worked beautifully!

One thing you HAVE to remember when you use the iron on vinyl, you need to right click on your image and then click "Flip Horizontally" for it to be the mirror image. When you iron on the adhesive side then it's right side up.

Our local grocery store had a carnival type thing last Saturday with free food, pumpkin painting, face painting (hence the cheeks) and tons of games. The girls had a blast!

Don't they look so sweet and innocent there? Don't let them fool you, here's some more pictures.

There's the Triniti and Tierni I know and love!

And speaking of Tierni (the 4 year old), here's our newest "Tiernism" that went on in the backseat of the car on our way up there:

Tierni: "Grandma, I'm in preschool now and can spell my name all by myself. T-I-U-R-N-I"
Triniti: "Tierni, how many times do I have to tell you? It's T-I-E-R-N-I"
Tierni: "Grandma, tell Triniti it's my name and I can spell it any way I want to!"

I changed the subject.

Happy Friday!

Boy, I sure you hope you all got more accomplished than I did today. I don't know what my problem is, but here's what I did today _________.  That's right, absolutely nothing! Oh yeah, I did manage to get dressed and played a couple of games of Bubblemania on my phone, but other than that, nothing. I better snap out of this by tomorrow!
