Sometimes all it takes is a little burlap...
to change the look of an ugly old wall lamp that you still like (and don't know why).
We've had that lamp that hangs on the wall forever. It serves it's purpose and isn't taking up space on a table, but I never realized how ugly it was until it was hanging on barn tin and that white shade was like an elephant in the room.
After Greg hung it back up, it was there maybe 30 seconds before I had the shade down.
I love the burlap ribbon that's all around now and try to stock up on it when it's on sale.
I used hot glue and wrapped it around the top and bottom of the shade.
Then finished it off with the middle section.
Now I'm thinking about painting the brown wood cream and sanding it, but that would kind of defeat my whole purpose of getting rid of the white shade, wouldn't it?
